My girlfriend and I left her house later than we wanted to last night, and I'm glad we did. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! happened about a half hour before we got on Interstate 88.
A trucker fell asleep at the wheel and hit a tollway worker and an Illinois State Trooper aiding a stalled truck. The tollway worker was killed, and the State Trooper was escorted to hospital by 24 police cars early this morning.

24 police cars escorted the injured trooper? It is horrible that he was injured, but given the conditions of the roads would it not have been better to send maybe 3 or 4 cars as an escort?

Road conditions might be why it took so many. Esp if they were seriously injured.

Chicago Police Mentality. Don't question it.
But seriously, this is terrible.

It happened out near Aurora, so it was ISP, not Chicago Police. I'm wondering why he wasn't rushed to somewhere sooner or airlifted.
